The main objectives of European Traffic Safety Culture Observatory are:

​

  • Develop an integrated Traffic Safety & Behaviour Culture Model for Greece  and  configure change mechanisms

  • Establish a cultural approach on driving behaviour and safety research, as well as on accident prevention

  • Understand the relationship between attitudes/beliefs and behaviours, as well as all those factors that can easily change in order to enhance traffic safety culture

  • Publish relevant data, reports and surveys

  • Develop strategies, actions and interventions for changing and implementing traffic safety culture

  • Strengthen the work of the State (Government and  Public Authorities ) in order to implement effective actions and policies for road safety

  • Correlate and integrate existing data and liaise with other Road Safety Observatories and organizations in Greece, Europe and the rest of the world.
